オーセンティックな、と言うかエキセントリックなところは無いピアノロックなのに、オルタナ好きの心をがっちり掴む、そんな不思議かつ力強い魅力を持つのがRams’Pocket Radio(Peter McCauley)

…an authentic (or maybe it’s eccentric?) japanese write up.

thanks eejit eejit!

Hey all! first post of 2011. happy new year!

2010 was a great year for us, we played a load of great gigs with some really cool bands, wrote and recorded a lots of new material and a heap of other stuff I can’t remember!

In BBC ATL’s run down of Northern irish bands of 2010 we came 4th – the highest newcomer. Very proud to be up there with some great NI bands, and it was a great way to end the year! read more here.

Busy times

Pretty much just finished a busy period of touring. We were travelling about Ireland with Darwin Deez, supported Marina and the Diamonds, our first gig in Glasgow (a great show!) and finished up the Oh Yeah Contenders tour. The Shows were all incredible and the Oh Yeah Contenders CD is doing great, go get it on itunes.

Just finished filming a live track for a BBC TV show going out in February.

Pete will be heading to a studio in Brighton at the end of this week to work with producer, Dave Lynch (Ed Harcourt, Iain Archer, Duke Special etc)

Writing for the first album is nearly complete.

Here’s a few clips:

good times!

Both shows were great fun. Marina is a legend! And here’s a shot from last night…

Back to Derry this Friday for the Marina and the Diamonds support. Just found out today!

Were playing with the full band and it’s sold out, so it should be a good one.

Just played the second date of the Oh Yeah contenders tour. For those of you who haven’t already, go download the album from itunes or listen on Spotify. The Rams’ track on there is called 1+2. The track features the live band:Ric Van Den Bos, Shauna Tohill and Ryan Mitchell; on drums, bass/vocals and guitar respectively. It was recorded in the picturesque countryside setting of Manor Park Studios with Neal Calderwood.
