About a week and one year and ago I started work on my first EP, knowing it would be a the first of three before the album, the purpose of which; to experiment, be creative and develop. I now approach the release date of the third – it feels like a lot has happened. The past year has seen so many exciting opportunities: festivals, UK, Irish and European tours, high profile supports, press, radio, the assembly of an industry team around the music, even a performance in a prison! Craziness. During EP 1 recording I don’t know if I would’ve believed that would be the course.

The new year is already shaping up, but of all the exciting things (most of which to be announced) we are most excited about getting in to the studio early on in January, firing as much creativity at the album tracks and live show as is humanly possible and seeing the realisation of my creative vision.

Part of the story of RAMS’ so far has been ownership. Without you guys, my team, and band taking ownership, not much of the above would be happening. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you at some shows over the year and sharing the new music with you.

Everything is happening at the minute. I’ve just come out of a fairly hectic period of touring and recording, we played at Glastonbury, one of the tracks was used on a tv show and we made our first reigional TV appearance – make the effort to see that by the way. We are interviewed by puppets. The producer assured me I wouldn’t look foolish but I’m not sure how you can’t look foolish when you’re chatting over your musical influences with buckfast drinking, foam puppet with a thick Belfast accent. The stuff that is going on now, is stuff I remember willing to happen about three years ago. I feel like I’m living the dream but also very aware that I’m just at the beginning and I can se how much work there is to do. It’s exciting though! I thank you all for subscribing to this mailing list and getting involved early.

I’m performing with the band at a few festivals in Northern ireland over the next while and will be back touring hopefully in September. In the mean time, enjoy my first release and go get my demo EP, trajectories. It’s 3 of my earliest tracks, demoed in my mate’s house in my home town, Lisburn … and it’s free!

Just back from our performance at Glastonbury, tour with Foy vance and a stint in the studio. There’s a few Glasto vids floating about on youtube courtesy of BBC.
